Checklist
Our team competes in
USA Triathlon sanctioned races (drafting not allowed)
and ITU Races (Youth and Junior Elite) where drafting is
allowed. Please get familiar with the USAT rules below (non
drafting races).
USAT Officials are present in all sanctioned races.
Having the knowledge of the USAT rules, training with
them in mind, and using them on race day will make the race
flow, make for a penalty free race. and keep you safe.
Please visit the USAT website ……. For the rest of the
rules please visit the USAT website at
http://www.usatriathlon.com/
Here
are a few important USAT rules:
-
Ride on
the right side of your lane.
-
Keep 3
bike lengths between you and the cyclist in front of you.
-
Pass on
the left, never on the right.
-
Complete you pass within 15 seconds.
-
If
passed, you must drop, completely out of the zone, to the
rear before attempting to re-pass.
-
Have
your helmet on and securely fastened, BEFORE you leave
transition on the bike and when you return to transition.
-
Treat
all athletes, volunteers, and officials with courtesy and
respect. Failure to do so is unsportsmanlike conduct.
As
a team member of the Wolf Pak, the first thing you do going into
a race is set your race finish time. Based upon your training
and the race distance, you should be able to figure a race time
that will motivate you and push you to the end. Coach Dave will
work with all Wolfpak competitors in their individual goals.
